KulVue® plasmonic window coating

Cooler buildings. Clearer views.

Buildings weren’t designed for a hotter world. KulVue® is an invisible coating that turns back solar heat at the window, on the glass you already have.

How KulVue-coated glass separates daylight from infraredThree parallel rays of sunlight travel toward a pane of glass. At the coated pane each ray splits: visible daylight passes straight through into the room, keeping it bright, while the invisible infrared that reaches us as heat is intercepted at the glass and reflected back outside.COATED GLASSSUNLIGHTDAYLIGHTINFRAREDpasses throughreflected away

The problem

The heat is already here.

Summers across Europe are getting hotter, faster than our buildings can adapt. Most of the continent’s building stock was designed for a climate that no longer exists.

The default answer is air-conditioning: expensive to install, expensive to run, and carbon-heavy at exactly the moment we need to be cutting emissions. Cooling a building should not be what warms the planet.

The culprit

It’s the glass.

Solar heat pours straight through ordinary glass and overheats the rooms behind it. The window is not a small part of the problem. It is nearly all of it.

The existing fixes each force a trade-off: tinted films and blinds darken the rooms they protect, smart glass costs too much, and replacing the windows outright means replacing the windows outright.

87%

of unwanted solar heat enters a building through its windows.

The solution

KulVue®

Invisible heat shielding for glass you already have.

A thin, clear coating that intercepts the sun’s invisible infrared before it becomes your problem, while the daylight comes through untouched.

  • Heat blocking, clear glass

Cuts solar heat gain without darkening the view.

  • Retrofit-ready

Applied directly onto existing windows. No replacement.

  • Fast application

No specialist installation. About 15 ml per m².

  • Safe & sustainable

    Non-toxic and independently validated.

Proven in real buildings

Cooler rooms, measured in a real classroom.

In a pilot at an occupied preschool, coated glass was measured against untreated glass under identical conditions, on the building’s existing windows.
